PR050: Marks of Provenance VI

Across the board, the energy of this year’s compilation reflects the challenge of balancing the renewed frenetic pace of life with the introspective leanings of the artists.

After another year rich in creativity for Provenance, the Collective welcomes 2023 with their sixth annual compilation, Marks of Provenance VI.

The rollback of lockdown restrictions across Australia allowed for an influx of new energy for the artists of Provenance Collective in 2022, as well as more opportunities to share works in progress in face-to-face contexts.

Across the board, the energy of this year’s compilation reflects the challenge of balancing the renewed frenetic pace of life with the introspective leanings of the artists.

This body of work showcases Provenance’s ever-deepening commitment to the exploration of frontier textures and songwriting forms through art pop and experimental music, and features contributions from regulars Arrom, Aphir, Sebastian Field, and LOUV, as well as newcomers and friends Happy Axe, MXMars, romæo, Marcus Whale, Wolfjay, Fairie and Ashleigh Hazel.
